Independent Study makes the assignment appear only for students who have scores or comments. For any student with no score or comment, the assignment does not apply to them, so it does not appear on their reports. To post independent study as upcoming homework, enter a comment for the applicable student(s) and leave the score blank; that will make it appear on their homework calendars.

Hide makes the assignment not appear on any reports for any student (but it still counts toward the grade).

On pages listing assignments (, , , and some reports) there is a menu above the list of assignments. This filters which assignments to view:

Last ten assignments — lists the last 10 assignments, excluding Hidden assignments. (Not available for print.)

All assignments — lists everything in the grading period (you can even see Hidden assignments, but not when printing).

Categories — like "Homework" or "Quizzes" (see Categories)

Ungraded assignments are listed on reports, so students can see upcoming homework and assignments. (Blank scores do not affect grades.)
