Your Report Cards may include non-academic grades for Citizenship, Effort, or anything you want. If your school gives several grades for Study Skills, Organization, Cooperation, etc., you should use the Standards-based option below. For Traditional Report Cards Admin: To setup custom grade columns, go to the page. These are defined the same way you define grading periods. (You don't need to define a grade scale.) Teacher: Go to the page to enter grades. You can type any grade. (You don't need to define anything on the Setup Grading Options page.)
Alternatively you can create a new gradebook just for Citizenship, Effort, or whatever it's called. Then define the grade scale on the page, and create assignments. See Grades that Don't Count to ensure these do not affect your academic grades. Admin: To setup custom grade rows, go to the page. Add Citizenship, Effort, Study Skills, etc. as objectives. If it is subject-specific, such as Effort in Math, put it in the Math standards, otherwise put it in general standards like Character & Study Skills.
Teacher: Go to the page and click each student to enter grades. You can type any grade. (You don't need to define anything on the Setup Grading Options page.) |
