For Schools/Districts
To implement SnapGrades for your whole school or district, your system administrator should:
1. | Sign up for a free trial. |
2. | On the Setup Schools page in Admin Mode, add other schools for your district (if any).
If you're a K-8 or K-12 school, you should set up separate schools for elementary, middle, and high school.
Then contact us as soon as possible to group your schools under the same account.
This is very important, otherwise you won't be able to set up attendance and bell schedules correctly. |
3. | On the Setup Staff & Security page, turn on the security restrictions, and Import Staff accounts. |
4. | On the Setup Online/Offline page, set what students and parents are allowed to see online. |
5. | On the Schedule Terms page, define your school year. Do this for each school. |
6. | On the Bell Schedules page, define your periods/hours and school days. Do this for each school. |
7. | Set the options on these pages:
Setup Attendance Codes
Setup Comment Codes
Setup Discipline Codes
Setup Grading Defaults
Setup Race/Ethnic Codes
Setup Special Programs |
8. | Export student data and rosters from your SIS and Import them into SnapGrades.
Or your may manually schedule students on the Schedule Courses & Sections pages. |
9. | On the Setup Standards page, define your district's standards-based report cards (if any).
Then go to the Schedule Courses page to align your standards with each course. |
To implement the SIS features (currently in beta testing) you must also: |
| 10. | Set the options on the Setup Graduation Requirements page.
Then on the Schedule Courses page, identify which courses satisfy which requirements. |
| 11. | On the Guidance > Plan page, set the graduation requirements for each student. Also define the default four-year plan for each grade level. |
12. | Conduct Training for your staff and have them sign up and set up their accounts. |
13. | Contact us to request an invoice once you know exactly how many teachers will be using SnapGrades. |
