Attendance Reports (for Admins) Index

Three administrative attendance are currently available:

Lists all student attendance for any date. You can optionally hide present students to see only those marked absent/tardy. You can list all students by name or ID, or group them by period, teacher, or class. This is useful if you want use SnapGrades just to collect attendance, then enter it manually into a 3rd party SIS. (This report does not list students where teachers have not entered any roll yet.)

Complete record of each student's attendance for all days in the selected grading period, including the total number of days enrolled, present, absent, tardy, etc.

This can help troubleshoot problems if any particular student's attendance totals don't seem correct (see also the "Find Errors" button on the page).

ADA is calculated by adding the number of days each student is marked present, then dividing by the number of instructional days. It shows the ADA for each school in your district and the total for your whole district. It supports both Daily attendance and Period attendance.

Instructional days are defined on the page. You define how long each period or day is on the page, including minimum days. For Period attendance, you define how many minutes are required for a full day and half day on the page.

Students marked Excused or Tardy are counted as Present for ADA purposes.

Note: If a student attends more than one school, like an 8th grader taking a class at the high school, it counts the total minutes attended at both schools, but it is reported at only their main school.

You can check the ADA anytime during the year, since it ignores future dates. But wait till all attendance is entered for the whole day, otherwise it will be slightly lower.
