Students and parents login using the student's name. It recognizes the first name + last name or the preferred name + last name, but not last-name-first. If two students have the same name, it finds the one where the password matches. Alternatively they can login using the ID assigned to them on the or page.

Assigning Passwords

Every student is assigned a random temporary password when they are first added to the database, plus two passwords for their parents. Teachers can see passwords on the page; Admins see the page.

To print these passwords and login instructions for each student and parent, teachers go to and Admins go to . To ensure students do not use the parent's password, Admins can print these with addresses to mail them directly to parents in windowed envelopes. (Teachers do not have that option.)

Or you can email "One-click access links" to everyone, assuming you've already entered their email addresses.

Students and parents then choose their own passwords the first time they login. For privacy, you cannot see their new passwords.

Resetting Passwords

If a student or parent forgets their password, they can select "I forgot my password" on the login screen to retrieve it by email. But if their email address is not in the system (or it's incorrect), you'll need to reset it by clicking "Reset" by their name on the or page. Then you can then see their new temporary password and give it to them.
